Types
There are two types of booklets in terms of contents and design :
Promotional booklets with data on the company, products and services are often used as a marketing tool to stimulate purchases .
Branding booklets, used to represent a brand, provide information on the company’s history, mission and values in addition to indicating its products and services.
Depending on the type and volume of the publication,staples, steel or plastic springs, adhesive, or sewing can be chosen to bind the pages.
Benefits
Printing Materials
There are various paper types used for booklets.
Glossy paper is pleasant to touch featuring effective rendering of bright colours and shades. Easily contaminated, low-cost glossy paper types are recommended for printing short-term use articles. High-quality glossy paper retains its properties for a much longer time than matte paper.
Being less costly than glossy paper, matte paper with low reflective power is used for manufacturing handouts. However, booklets made of high-quality matte paper look more respectable, with softer, elegant, and shining image colours. The booklet’s cover can be made of the same or thicker paper type.

Price
The price will depend on the following:
- design layout availability;
- type of materials;
- printing and processing technology;
- number of pages;
- print run;
- lead time.
Booklet sizes
Standard sizes:
- A4 — 297x210 mm;
- A5 — 210x148 mm;
- A6 — 148x105 mm, etc.
Non-standard sizes:
- 200x100 mm;
- 200x200 mm, etc.
The size will affect the imposition, i.e. the layout of the text and graphics on pages, the amount of paper consumed per run, and the cost of manufacture. A4 and A5 are the most commonly requested sizes as they are more convenient to hold in hands, look and flip through, carry, and post.
