Materials
Tags can be fabric, textile or woven.
Fabric tags are used for clothing as elements that best match the material and the overall appearance. They are sewn-in serving to provide tips on washing and ironing, and very often to display the manufacturer's trademark.
Woven labels are usually made upon request. The batch size can vary from large volumes down to a single piece.
Methods
The print type on cloth tags depends on the material (satin, nylon, grosgrain, polyester, cotton):
- For thermal transfer, a resin-based dye ribbon is used.
- For nylon, satin, and polyester. When stamping, gold or silver foil guarantees shiny colours. Hot stamping employs heat and light to fix the image. Cold stamping employs UV glue. Blind stamping is suitable only for grosgrain ribbon. Foiling creates embossed impressions.
- Silkscreening is monochrome or colour. The information is applied with synthetic silk stencils.
- Flexo offers full-colour images. It is suitable for large runs in a short time.
- For sublimation, dry dyes are used to ensure vivid pictures.
We print on ribbons used for cloth tagging. We accept your existing layout or, if you have none, we will develop a number of alternative ones for you to choose the one that suits you best. We’ll launch the production of your tags after you approve the version you like. At your request, before launching, we can print out a photo sample for you.
How to order
To manufacture a tag, we need to know the following:
- Dimensions (length, width);
- Type and colour of material);
- Type of printing;
- When submitting your existing artwork, please indicate the colours in PANTONE or CMYK.
